Our over-riding aim is to reduce reoffending and protect the public.
“The service is here to help you – be open and honest and then you will get the most out of your time in probation.”
Probation is often the forgotten linchpin in the criminal justice system.
Ask most people about crime and punishment and they will likely mention the police, prosecution and prison. What they may not realise is that probation staff have a critical role in the rehabiliation of offenders, preventing and reducing re-offending, and making sure offenders comply with their licence, or other, conditions.
Many of the offenders we work with go on to forge a new and positive life.
